Delivery

Delivery within the United Kingdom

We currently offer free shipping on orders over £75 within mainland UK, including the Scottish highlands.

We endeavour to send out most orders within one to two working days of receipt. Orders placed after 8 am will be sent out on the next working day. Despatch may be slower at very busy times, in particular before Christmas: please bear this in mind when ordering, and leave sufficient time. You will receive an email that confirms that your parcel has been sent. (Do check your junk folder: we find that these emails are sometimes caught by spam filters.)

Our parcels are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24, or with DPD, depending upon size and weight — both of these services aim (but do not guarantee) to deliver within one working day of despatch. They slow down at busy times. Royal Mail currently deliver Monday to Saturday, but DPD deliver Monday to Friday only.

International Delivery

Orders to Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand will be despatched within 48 hours of receipt and should be received within 5 days of being sent, though we cannot guarantee this.

We currently offer free shipping for orders over £260 to most European destinations, as well as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Orders to the Rest of the World: if the parcel weighs under 2kg, it will be despatched within 48 hours of receipt and time to delivery will depend on local postal services. If the parcel weighs over 2kg, it may take longer than two days to organise shipping.

Tax and Duty on European Orders Post-Brexit

For most European countries we will send your order with a Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service. This means that VAT and duties are calculated and collected at the point of sale and then we pass that money on to the relevant tax authorities.

The prices you see on the website when ordering from Europe are excluding sales tax (VAT). Once you reach the checkout stage and input all your delivery details the additional shipping and duties charges will be calculated, as well as local VAT for your country. You can see the total before you decide to go ahead with your order. If you do proceed, no further charges will be payable. This arrangement eliminates unexpected costs at the point of delivery, and will also speed up transit of your order through customs.

Tax and Duty on US Orders

We do not collect 20% UK sales tax (VAT) from our US customers. The prices you see when ordering from the US are duty-free.

From 29 August 2025 onwards US customs tariffs and courier handling charges will be payable on any order entering the USA.  The tariff is set by the US government, and is 10% of the order value. The courier adds an additional brokerage fee/handling charge for transiting the parcel through US customs.

To create a smoother process, where US customers can pay at the point of ordering and do not incur extra charges, we are now adding a charge of 20% of the order value at checkout to any US orders, which we expect should cover all tariffs and courier handling charges.

This is a new situation and we will post further guidance here when we understand the processes a little better.
