Midsummer beetles, bugs and butterflies
Summer is here and it’s time to bring out our Midsummer printing blocks in their pretty pea-green sprigged box. The set consists of four twining leafy border blocks (Starflower; Ivy; Vine Leaves; Arts and Crafts) which when printed end to end will create tumbling and exuberant borders of leaves, fruit and flowers. There’s a delicate ferny frondlet for a simpler leafy pattern. There’s also a wide array of creatures to inhabit and animate the leaves and flowers: a large stripy Butterfly, a big spotty Moth, a friendly Bumblebee, a very sweet Snail and an audacious Caterpillar, plus five very small beetles, ladybirds, bees and butterflies. This rich and fertile set of summer blocks will allow you to print cards and patterned papers that are teeming with life.
The Bumble Bee and larger versions of the Vine Border, Arts and Crafts Border and Frond are all available to buy singly. We also have a wide selection of ink pads in particularly subtle and interesting colours.
